Barefoot Chamber Concerts
BLUMENSTOCK-Elizabeth
Elizabeth BlJohnsonpic1-150x150umenstock and Janine Johnson perform J.S. Bach sonatas for harpsichord and violin. Two Bay area baroque superstars play Bach, what more could you possibly want? Since Bach constantly transcribed and re-arranged his own work for different instrumental combinations, it is only fitting that this program will feature Elizabeth Blumenstock’s transcription of the Goldberg Variations for violin, and Janine Johnson’s transcription of a violin sonata for harpsichord. There will also be plenty of music played on the instruments Bach originally intended.
