A program exploring early Russian Classicism, including Dmitri Bortniansky’s Sinfonia Concertante and Suite from Le fils rival, Maksym Berezovsky’s Symphony in C Major; Dmitry Bortniansky, Suite from Alcide; Johann Heinrich Facius’s Concerto for Violoncello in d minor (Tanya Tomkins, soloist), arias by Mikhail Glinka, as arranged by Rimsky-Korsakov (Anna Dennis, soprano soloist); and Yevstigney Fomin, “Dance of the Blessed Spirits” from Orpheus.
