is back with a new program of sensational Baroque concerti to open its 2010-2011 season.

The season opening program will feature a selection of dynamic concerti grossi by Vivaldi, Handel, Geminiani, Corelli, and Locatelli, as well as the delightful Handel organ concerto “The Cuckoo and the Nightingale,” performed by UC Berkeley University Organist Davitt Moroney (view the full concert program).

Archetti was founded by Carla Moore and John Dornenburg for the purpose of performing the rich concerto and ensemble repertory of the Baroque era.¬† The group is dedicated to using chamber music techniques to creatively illuminate this inspiring music without a conductor and consists of some of the Bay Area’s best Baroque performers.

Carla Moore, Kati Kyme, David Wilson & Alicia Yang, violins; Anthony Martin, viola; Elisabeth Reed, cello; John Dornenburg, violone; and Davitt Moroney, harpsichord.
