Renaissance and baroque music by composers associated with the great court of Dresden, including works of Hans Leo Hassler, Michael Praetorius, Heinrich Schütz, Johann Schein, Antonio Lotti, Niccola Porpora, and Johann Adolph Hasse. These concerts will be the first to feature the newly-installed Paul Fritts organ at St. Albert Priory. The Opus 36 organ, unique to the Bay area, is modeled after the early Northern Germany/Dutch style baroque tracker organs with 2 manuals, 22 stops, and more than 800 pipes of tin and lead alloys housed in a solid oak casing.
