SFEMS Classical Workshop
Faculty from the esteemed New Esterházy Quartet will focus on chamber music skills in this intensive one-week seminar on Classical performance practice. Participants will learn period-appropriate styles of articulation, bowing, fingering and phrasing. Workshop pitch will be at “Viennese,” A=430hz and participants will have the opportunity to try Classical style bows and strings. Music will include Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven, as well as the works of lesser-known but equally-talented composers.
